Founded in 2022, GEO Nova Scotia emerged from the urgent need for digital inclusion highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originally a community program of the Public Good Society of Dartmouth, GEO quickly expanded through partnerships in the community, government, and business sector.
Our model, constantly being refined, emphasizes flexibility, collaboration, and participant-centered solutions. With significant backing from the Province of Nova Scotia, GEO Nova Scotia has grown into a province-wide effort, transforming thousands of lives through digital inclusion.
Launched in the Summer of 2025, GEO for Nonprofits uses the buying power, distribution network, and partnerships of GEO Nova Scotia in order to provide technology and tech services to other nonprofit organizations at below-market cost while generating revenue to support core programming.
